HUMAN LOVE

March 4th 1915

    I am here, Jesus

    I want to write tonight on the love of human.  This love is one that is not understood by humanity, in its most important particular.  I mean, that this love is not one that is sufficient to give humans the highest degree of happiness which they may obtain, in either the mortal life, or in the life to come.  This love, is of a nature that changes with the change in the ideas and desires of humans.  Has no stability that will serve to keep them constant in their affections.  No human, who has only this love can ever be in condition to say that they will continue to have this love for a longer time than the present.  When they think that their love can never change, or leave them, they are only giving thought to the wish.  This love is one that may last for a long time.  Sometimes it seems that it can never die, or grow less.  Yet, in its very nature, it has not that constancy which insures its lasting longer than a moment of time. 

    I do not mean to say anything disparaging of this natural love.  For it is undoubtedly the greatest gift that the Father has bestowed upon humankind.  Without it, humans would be in a very unhappy condition.  Yet, it is not the Great Love of the Father, which all humans may receive.  If they will only seek and strive to obtain It by prayer and Faith. 

    This natural love is that which unites men and women in unity while on earth.  Enables them to approach nearer to a life of happiness, than does any other human quality.  Still, it has the danger always accompanying it, that sometime, in some way, it may cease to exist. 

    The mother's love is the strongest of all loves given to mortals.  Apparently it can never end or grow old.  Yet, a time may come when that love will die, or cease to retain all its vitality or beauty.  I know it is said that love never dies, but that is not true as regards this natural love.  No human can say that their love of today will remain their love of a few years hence. 

    Yet there is a love that may be called the natural love that will last forever, providing these souls seek and obtain the Divine Love.  That is the love that God has implanted in two souls that He has designed to become one in spirit life.  This love is really not two loves, but one.  The same love manifested in the two opposite sexes.  Which is only a complete one when these two apparently independent souls come together in Perfect Unity.  This is what is commonly called the love of soulmates.  Which is that essence of spiritual love which makes the happinesss of the two spirits of mortals seemingly complete.  Yet, this love is not of a Divine Nature.  Merely the highest type of the natural love.

    So, when humans speak of the love of one mortal for their fellow humans, it means merely the love which their human nature is capable of having and giving to another mortal.  I do not wish to be understood as in any way implying that this love is not a great boon and blessing to humankind, for it is.  Without it there would not be the Harmony that exists on earth.  Yet, at this time, hatred and anger seems to have taken its place in the hearts of many humans, who are now striving to kill and destroy.  This is only for a season.  The war (1915) will cease, then humans will realize the more for a long time, that only their love for one another can make the earth a happy and desireable place to live on.  Love, I know, it is said, is the fulfilling of the Law.  But no human can thoroughly understand this, until they know what love is.  I do not mean that in order to fulfill every Law, human must have the Divine Love of the Father.  Because, there are Laws that govern the Divine Existence and Laws that govern the human and merely spiritual existence.  The Love of the Divine, is the fulfillment of the former Laws.  The natural love is the fulfillment of the latter Laws.  So, you must see that only as humans have the Love of the Divine, can they fulfill the Laws of the Divine Existence, so as they have the natural love only can they fulfill the natural Laws.

    This natural love will not be able to make them One with The Father.  As I have before written, the utmost of its powers and functions, is to give them that happiness which they will receive in living the life of a spirit, or human, unredeemed.  I will not say that human should not cultivate this love for their fellow human to the greatest degree, for they should.  If that should be the only kind of love that they may have, either on earth, or in the spirit world, the more of it that they possess, the happier will they be.  The greater will be the happiness of their fellow humans and fellow spirits.  So when I said when on earth, that humans should love their God and love the fellow humans as themselves, I meant that they should do so with all the possibilities of whatever love they might possess. 

    Yet, if humans would only learn, as they can, that there is no necessity for them to have only the natural love.  They should all seek the Greater Love and obtain corresponding Greater Happiness and Immortality.  Humans do not realize this though.  Seem to be satisfied with this natural love and the pleasures that ensue from its possession.  I would not have them do anything that would lessen this love.  Or, shut their hearts to its influence, when it is pure and good.  Yet, I cannot help trying to impress upon them the great desirability of having this Higher Love (Divine Love) in their souls.

    Yes, I am a lover of all humans.  I want them to feel the Happiness of the inflowing of the Divine Love.  Thereby, learn what the Love of God means.  What they will have if they will only seek. 

    This love of the purely natural will not suffice for the temptations that beset humans on earth.  Also, will not insure against temptations when they become spirits.  I know this.  Hence I say it with the positiveness of one who knows, you may say, with authority.

I am here, Jesus.

    I come tonight according to promise and desire to write my message, if you are in condition to receive it.

    I wish to write on the subject of: "What is the correct way in which a human should live the life on earth, in order to receive the cleansing from their sins, so that they can acquire the purification of their natural love?"

    Heretofore, I have conferred in my messages almost exclusively to the redemption of the soul by means of the Divine Love, so that the Redeemed one may become an inhabitant of the Celestial Spheres.  Now I will deal only with that cleansing, that will fit them to live in the highest and purest of the spirit spheres, where they can have the happiness which a Pure Natural Love will bring to them.

    As has been written you, the soul, as it was Created and placed in human, was at the time of its Creation, in human form, or rather at the time it found a habitation in that form, made Pure and Perfect.  In complete Harmony with the Laws of God, controlling its existence.  That only after the fall, by reason of human's own indulgence in the animal appetites and desires, did it lose its purity and become contaminated by sin and error.  That ever since that time, it has remained in such condition of impurity and alienship to God and His Laws.  This impurity has been the lot of each succeeding generation of humans.  Has never been eradicated from humans souls, notwithstanding, all the Moral Instructions that human has acquired.  Still, there has been wonderful improvements in the purity of human's thoughts, as well as in their actions and habits of life, since the turning from the bottom of their degeneracy.

    Now, there are several ways in which human may succeed in acquiring that purity that existed at the time of the Creation of the First Human.  In time this consummation will be accomplished.  In these ways human, themselves, will have to be an important working factor.  For human is the Highest of God's Creations.  With powers and will possessed by no other of God's Creatures.  There is no power in heaven, or earth, that can, or will, redeem human from this condition of sin and error, unless human will cooperate in the work.  That to the greatest and best of their ability.

    These sins that I speak of, were created by human's thoughts and desires.  Carried into acts and deeds by the operation of their will.  They must be removed by the same processes.  Where the evil thoughts and deeds created, that which contaminated and defiled the qualities of their soul, these evil thoughts and deeds must be supplanted by good thoughts and deeds, in order that the defilement may be removed and the soul purified.

    Evil thoughts are born of suggestions, both inward and outward.  Also of the influences of spirits of evil who establish a rapport with the mortals.

    Let us postpone the writing for our rapport is not just right. I will come soon and finish.

I am here, Jesus.

    I see that you are in better condition tonight and it may be that we can continue the message. 

    Well, as I was saying, the only way in which a mortal may obtain the development of their soul condition, without the help of the Divine Love, is by attempting to exercise their will in the way that will cause the thoughts of evil and error to leave them.  To be replaced by thoughts that will bring their heart and soul into harmony with the Laws of their Creation as mere human.  This can be done by their seeking for those higher things of morality.  The subordinating of the purely animal desires and appetites of the mortal, to the aspirations and desires of the higher and nobler part of their nature. 

    As I have before told you, human was Pure and Good, until they, by the exercise of their will, following the suggestions of the animal desires, permitted themselves to degenerate from the High and Perfect Condition of their Creation.  These sins and desires do not belong to their Original Nature.  For their True Nature was pure and in Harmony with the Laws of God.  Although they have lost it by the excessive and wrongful exercise of their will, obeying the desires of their animal nature.  Yet, they can recover their condition of original purity and harmony, if they will get rid of these sins and errors, so that their nature may again become free from everything that defiles it, or places it out of harmony with the Laws that Created it. 

    So you see, it is not necessary for human to obtain, or add to their original condition, any qualities that were not theirs in the beginning.  But merely to get rid of, or eradicate from that condition, those things which are mere excrescences, or parasites.  Thereby have their nature in the same condition that was theirs when they were Created and were the Perfect Humans. 

    So long a time has the nature, or condition of the nature of human, been in this state of defilement and alienation from the True Condition of their Creation, that the effort to bring about the restoration will necessarily be great.  They will have to use all their power of will, that they are capable of, to effectuate this object.  They will find in such efforts two conflicting forces, always fighting each other for the mastery.  The fact that they believe their present condition is the natural one, and that the state, purity and freedom from sin and error is one that does not belong to them naturally, but must be acquired by adding something to what they now have and always possessed, will make the fight more uneven. 

    Therefore the first things that human must believe is that their present condition is not their natural one.  That they have nothing more, or greater, to accomplish than to relieve themselves of those things which prevent their condition from becoming as it was when they were the Perfect Human.  If they will get this belief firmly fixed in their mind, assert that they are made by God, and that God never Created anything impure, or not in harmony with His Laws, they, human, will have accomplished the First Step towards their regeneration, and towards success in their effort. 

    They must not consider themselves to be a weak, low and unworthy creature of God, not being entitled to those conditions of purity and greatness which made them the Beloved Child of the Father.  Of course, self-esteem, pride and everything of that nature must be eliminated from the estimate that they must have of themselves.  On the contrary, the idea that they are degenerated and utterly helpless being, must not be permitted to enter their mind. Such thoughts do not make them pleasing to God, as they have been taught they do. Only make them subservient to their masters, sin and error.  Prevent them from asserting their own superiority to these things, which is necessary to exist in their conception of their True Condition, in order that they may obtain the ascendancy over those masters. 

    When they shall have assumed this position, then they will realize that these animal appetites, desires and evil thoughts which arise from them, and from the belief that they are, by nature degraded and unworthy of a better and higher condition of nature, are really beings of their own creation, and subject to their will, self control and total destruction.  With such realization will come a consciousness that they are not parts of their nature, but foreign to it. That in order that their (true) nature may become separated from them, they must look upon them as enemies and treat them as such.  To be destroyed and utterly extinguished.  Never more to be taken to their bosom and cherished as inalienable and dominant parts of their nature. 

    Of course, in treating them as such enemies, great watchfulness and determination will have to be exercised. For they are very insidious, will at all times and in all ways, whenever the opportunity arises, try to convince them that they are an integral and necessary part of their being, incapable of being separated from them. 

    By the exercise of this belief, based upon a right conception of what is and what is not a part of them, as the Perfect Human, and by the exercise of their will power in accordance with this conception, they will be able to rescue themselves from these unnatural appetites, desires and thoughts of error and sin. 

    As this belief becomes stronger and this conception clearer, and their will exercised in closer Harmony with the two essentials, these excrescences will gradually, one by one, fall away from them.  Until, at last, they will rise again, the Perfect Human, with the Pure and Harmonious Nature, which God gave them at the time of their Creation. 

    This process will be slow and sometimes hardly perceptible.  For the long years of misbelief in the idea of original sin, and that God created evil and error for the purpose of defiling human's nature and making a disobedient devil of them, without any inherent goodness, or the possibility of becoming regenerated, unless by the operation of some miracle, will make it difficult for the acquiring of the true belief as to what they, and what their (True) Natures are, and enable them to become the master and not remain the servant. 

    God is the Father of All.  Loves all His Children.  As He originally provided for their happiness, so now, He desires that all may be happy, even though they may not seek for that Divine Love which makes mortals and spirits more than the mere Perfect Human. 

    Forgiveness is, in effect, forgetfulness.  When humans, in their efforts cause all these things of evil and sin to cease being a part of their nature, and only thoughts of purity and righteousness to find a lodgment in their minds, then these other things are forgotten, forgiveness has taken place. Human, no longer is the slave of false beliefs and unrighteousness.  Nor are they their associates.  Even in memory, they become things of nonexistence.  When they get into this condition of purity, freedom and in Harmony with the Laws of their Creation, there exists nothing which can be the object of forgiveness.  They are the human of Perfect Creation.

    In all this, human must realize that they do not exist by and for themselves alone.  For always they are surrounded by mortals, or spirits, or both, exercising upon them their influence for good, or evil.  Helping them to turn their thoughts from these things of evil and sin, into those higher things, which are theirs by nature, or causing them to receive and foster these evil thoughts with increased intensity.  They cannot get rid of these influences, of one kind, or the other.  Hence, they should seek the influence of those who are good and desire to help them in their efforts towards the recovery of that condition which is theirs, by Right of Birth. 

    Among God's Laws, which never change, which work impartially, is the great Law of Attraction.  It works in the case of all mortals and spirits and never rests.  The Great Principle of this Law is; that like attracts like and the unlike repulses the unlike.  So human must know that as they are, I mean in their state of mind and soul, so necessarily will be their companions, of those who desire their association. Hence, they should realize this important Truth and all that it implies.  If their thoughts and deeds are evil, they will attract those spirits, or mortals, who have similar thoughts and deeds, who will not help them to higher things.  But who will retard their progress towards their First Estate. If their thoughts and deeds are good, then their associates will only be those of like qualities, who can and will help them in their progress.  Every effort to create good thoughts, strengthens the desires and will in that direction.  Assists the coming of other good thoughts.  For with these efforts comes the help of these unseen (good) influences and the repulsion of the influences of the retarding forces. 

    Human is a Wonderful Being.  The Highest Creation of The Father.  Yet, their greatest master, is their belief in the power and supremacy of these things of evil, of their own creation. 

    Beyond all this, a means to accomplish humans restitution to their Perfect Estate, is the help of The Father. Which is never refused, when human seeks for it in earnest sincere prayer.  Always, The Father is willing to respond to the true prayers of human.  By His Instrumentalities, will make the efforts of human sure and effective.  So that they can acquire that condition, that will free them from all sin,  error and slavery of false belief, in the mastery of their evil creatures. 

    Human must believe in the Love and help of the Father, in the humanhood and greatness of themselves, and in the utter error of their belief in the mastery of their own children of sin and error.

    I have written enough and must stop, as you are tired. 

So assuring you of my love for you, and my care and help, I will say, goodnight.

I am here Jesus,

    Let me write a while tonight, as I desire very much to again come into communication with you, in reference to the Truths of God, that are so important for humans to know.

    Tonight, I desire to write for a short time on the subject of :  What humans should do in order to become again the Perfect Human, as was the condition of the First Parents before their fall. 

    I know that many doctrines and beliefs have prevailed in the world of human experience, as to what is necessary, to bring about a return to the Original Condition of the Created Soul of human's before the fall.  Many of these beliefs have been preached and efforts made, to live the life that will produce this happy state.  In all this experience and belief, humans have rarely attained to the Perfection that they sought for.  Not withstanding the fact that they have been taught, that as the Father in Heaven is Perfect, they should become Perfect.  No, this goal has always eluded humans, while living on earth and (will) for a long while to come.  Until humans ideas of their own Created Conditon change, humans will not succeed in reaching the Condition of Perfection.

    While the Created Soul of humans are Pure and Perfect and humans must realize that fact.  Yet, because of the long ages of living in and nurturing sin and its resultants, humans have covered over that Pure Soul, with such a deep and fallacious covering, that they have never yet been able to get a correct idea of what the soul really is.  It appears to them, in all its frailties and ugliness, to be as it really is.  In addition to this, so long have humans been accustomed to see that soul, as it appears in its false covering, that they have concluded, have had no other thought than, that it is really what it appears to them to be. Never was a greater mistake made.  Never have humans, been so little successful in discovering the Truth of things, as in this matter of the True Condition of the hidden soul, waiting only to be relieved of its covering, in order to shine out again in all its Purity and Truth!  So you see, the first thing for humans to do, is to realize the true condition of their own souls.  Then make the effort to rescue such souls, from this false and unnatural condition and let it appear again Clean, Pure and Beautiful.

    Many teachers have appeared in the world and endeavored to lead humans to this discovery.  Also, attempted to show them the way, by which this original conditon could be recovered, or brought about.  Success, more or less, has accompanied these endeavors.  The trouble has been, that with these teachings, have been mixed things, of such irrational character, that have had a retarding and baneful effect upon such teachings.  As a consequence, humans have lost the Principles of the True Teachings.  Have found themselves enthralled in the scheme of public benefits, instead of the True Teachings.  It seems so strange that these beliefs and practices, should be given over to so much importance to the acts and beliefs of humans, that the One True Principal (real true love), that lies at the basis of all efforts to regain the purity of the soul, as it originally existed, should be neglected.
